At first, nobody could see where the sound was coming from.
The cries were faint.
Weak.
Desperate.
Then someone noticed a tiny face pressed tightly inside a narrow hole between old bricks and concrete.
A small kitten was trapped deep inside the wall.
His name was Lioid.
And the more he struggled, the more firmly his body became wedged inside the crumbling brick opening.

Only part of Lioid’s head could be seen from outside.
